Our Confidentiality Practices

  • Access Control: Only authorised personnel have access to sensitive information, which is securely stored and managed.

  • Data Protection: We comply fully with data protection regulations, ensuring all records—whether digital or physical—are safeguarded against unauthorised access or misuse.

  • Clear Boundaries: Information is shared only when necessary to fulfill professional responsibilities, provide effective support, or comply with legal obligations.

  • Staff Training: All staff members receive regular training on confidentiality protocols, emphasising the importance of discretion and secure communication practices.

  • Auditing and Monitoring: Regular audits ensure adherence to confidentiality policies, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities promptly.

  • Incident Management: Should a breach occur, we have a robust reporting and resolution process to mitigate impact and prevent recurrence.

We are unwavering in our commitment to confidentiality, and any breaches are treated as severe misconduct, resulting in strict disciplinary action. These practices help us maintain the trust and integrity essential to our work and the families we serve.

Privacy Measures at Ensuno House

  1. Confidentiality:

    • Personal information is securely stored and shared strictly on a need-to-know basis, in accordance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.

    • Sensitive details about residents’ circumstances are handled with the utmost care to preserve confidentiality.

  2. Private Spaces:

    • Residents’ rooms are treated as personal sanctuaries. Staff will only enter with prior consent, except in emergencies or when safety concerns arise.

    • Locks on bedroom doors provide additional privacy and security.

  3. Cameras for Safety:

    • CCTV is installed in communal areas, hallways, and external entrances for security purposes. Cameras in bedrooms face only the child’s bed and are used solely for safeguarding.

    • All residents are informed of camera placement and purpose during admission, with footage securely stored and reviewed in accordance with safeguarding protocols.

  4. Fostering Trust:

    • Staff provide guidance and support with sensitivity, ensuring residents’ autonomy is respected.

    • By fostering trust and mutual respect, we aim to empower parents in their roles and build confidence in their abilities.
